The Annual Christ Church Outreach Dinner and Golf Outing benefits Bound Together Detroit, the after-school tutoring and summer program that operates out of Church of the Messiah, reaching the children within both the parish and surrounding neighborhoods of southeast Detroit.

Profits from the Golf Outing and Dinner support Bound Together Detroit and represent the ministry’s entire operating budget. Members of Christ Church and the Grosse Pointe communities can show support by purchasing golf participation packages, corporate or individual sponsorships, as well as dinner tickets. Silent Auction and Raffle donations are needed as well.

The 18-hole Scramble format includes some creative twists, promising a fun, competitive experience for golfers of all skill levels. There are also games and festivities for non-golfers to enjoy. The silent auction, dinner and awards presentations round off a full day of fellowship and fun.

The Christ Church Outreach Dinner and Golf Outing was established in 2005 as part of the church's 75th anniversary celebration. In previous years, the event has provided support for Alternatives for Girls in 2005, Crossroads of Michigan in 2006, Bound Together East in 2007 and 2008 and Bound Together Detroit in 2009 and 2010.
