Associate for Music and Liturgy, Director of Music and Organist
Scott Hanoian is the Director of Music and Organist at Christ Church Grosse Pointe where he directs the church’s Choir of Men and Boys, Choir of Men and Girls, the Christ Church Schola, the Christ Church Chorale, and oversees the yearly concert series and is active as an organist, accompanist, continuo artist, conductor, choral adjudicator, and guest clinician.
Praised by The American Organist for his “prestigious technique and grand style musicality”, Dexter Kennedy is the Assistant Organist of Christ Church Grosse Pointe. As the winner of the Grand Prix de Interprétation at the 24th Concours International d’Orgue de Chartres, he has established himself internationally as one of the leading organists of his generation. In addition to concertizing and to his work at Christ Church, he is on the music faculty of the College of Wooster as Adjunct Instructor of Organ.
Joseph Daniel is a member of the music faculty at Washtenaw Community College where he teaches Music Theory, Functional Piano, Class Voice, and conducts the WCC Chamber Singers. A recipient of a Bachelor of Music degree from Baylor University, Dr. Daniel completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as the final pupil of the late Dr. Robert Glasgow. Prior to his doctoral study, he earned dual master’s degrees in organ and carillon performance also from the University of Michigan.
