Pastoral Care
Support Groups at Christ Church Grosse Pointe

Christ Church Grosse Pointe seeks to bring God and people together through opportunities for worship and relevant experiences that enhance the lives of individuals by offering the hope of healing. One means of accomplishing this is through meaningful facilitated opportunities for group support.
Our Transformation Through Transitions program includes ministries specifically designed to support the unique needs of individuals experiencing divorce, career transition, and grief or loss. These ministries are not to be mistaken for therapy or counseling, but are open to all interested individuals and there is never a charge for participation. The Very Reverend David Dieter is the clergy liason. Martha Williams, RN, is the coordinator. To learn more about any of these ministries, please contact Martha at 586-415-2533.
Divorce Support Ministry meets on an as-needed basis and provides support in an open, honest, and confidential setting.
Eastside Take Control is an ecumenical career networking group that provides information, resources, support and networking opportunities to eastsiders in a career transition. The group meets on Mondays from 7:30-8:30 am, rotating locations as follows: 1st Monday Grace Community Church; 2nd Monday St. Paul's Catholic Church; 3rd Monday St. Ambrose Church; 4th Monday Christ Church Grosse Pointe. For more information, contact Richard Gibson at 313.822.6148.
Bereavement Support Ministry was formally known as our Grief Support Group. Trained facilitators administer care for this essential ministry on an as-needed basis.
