Scott Hanoian

Associate for Music and Liturgy, Director of Music and Organist

Scott Hanoian is the Director of Music and Organist at Christ Church Grosse Pointe where he directs the church’s Choir of Men and Boys, Choir of Men and Girls, the Christ Church Schola, the Christ Church Chorale, and oversees the yearly concert series and is active as an organist, accompanist, continuo artist, conductor, choral adjudicator, and guest clinician.

Jackson Merrill

Interim Assistant Director of Music and Organist

Jackson is a graduate student in organ performance at the University of Michigan, where he was awarded the Marilyn Mason Scholarship, the Patricia Barret Ludlow Memorial Scholarship in Organ, and the Chris Schroeder Graduate Fellowship. He came to Michigan from Hartford, Connecticut where he was Organist and Director of Music Ministries at Trinity Church, Music Director for The Choir School of Hartford, and Choral Director of Trinity Academy.

Dr. Joseph Daniel

Honorary Artist in Residence

Joseph D. Daniel is a free-lance musician whose reputation for musical excellence keeps him busy as a conductor, clinician, and accompanist throughout the state of Michigan. In addition to his musical endeavors, Dr. Daniel serves on boards of the Ann Arbor Youth Chorale and the University of Michigan LGBTQA Alumni Association. Dr. Daniel joined the faculty at Madonna University in 2018. As Adjunct Assistant Professor of Organ, he teaches applied organ lessons and collaborates with the Lyric Theatre in their opera and musical theatre productions.
