Serve in the Community

Mariners Inn Service Opportunities

Thank you for your contributions to the Easter Appeal this year which went to Mariner’s Inn. We raised $11,296 and will be pairing our financial giving with service and relationship.

Here are the opportunities planned so far:

Summer Starters

Summer Sunday's starting June 24 following the 9 am Service

Every year many Detroit children start their summer days hungry. Throughout the summer when children who rely on school breakfast programs often go without, Christ Church volunteers gather to make difference.

PREPARATION: (Fridays for 1 hour) Count supplies to organize for packing on Sunday.

Take Them a Meal

Friends and family taking meals to those in need.

Sometimes our friends and community members are going through a transitional time – perhaps they have pastoral needs, such as an illness (hospitalization or rehabilitation) or experienced a loss in the family, or maybe they have a new baby.  If you would like to help this family by assisting with meals for a period of time, please fill out the form below and we will contact you and the recipient to finalize the details.
