"Heart of Crossroads" Awards Gala Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30pm, Waterview Loft (at Port Detroit on Bates St., 1 block East of Hart Plaza) $150/Person. All are invited to this memorable evening. Enjoy spectacular views of the Ambassador Bridge and the waterfront. Ticket includes a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner, valet parking and a brief awards program to honor those who prepare and serve a meal to the 650 or more people who depend on Crossroads every Sunday. - Byrd Songs Sunday, October 25, 2015 - 4:30pm. The Christ Church Schola performs the music of celebrated Renaissance composer William Byrd. Freewill offering.
- Requiem Mass Sunday, November 1, 2015 - 4:30pm. The Choir of Men and Girls performs a service in remembrance of the departed. Feauturing Maurice Durufle's Requiem.
- Alexander's Feast - G.F. Handel Sunday, November 22, 2015 - 4:30pm. Featuring the Christ Church Chorale, soloists and orchestra. Tickets $20.

Single Women, Abundant Life: Saturday, September 26; 9:30am-3:00pm. Miller Hall. Suggested contribution $45 (includes lunch). God has a unique love and purpose for single women, whether single for life or for a season. In company with single women of the Bible - Martha and Mary, Ruth and Naomi and Mary Magdalene - you will reflect on your own life and God's purpose and presence with you.
Facilitated by Janene Ternes, a certified Spiritual Director and founder of Prayer In Motion. Janene will use music, movement, journaling and guided meditation to help each participant explore her own personal stories of courage, faithfulness, witness, and service. She will teach basic movements that anyone can do regardless of experience or physical limitation. View poster

Crossroads Welcomes Your Donations - Clothing, Toys, and Household Items. Crossroads East at Salem Lutheran Church 21230 Moross (between Mack and I-94). Monday - Friday Drop-off hours: 9:00am-12 noon and 1:00pm-4:00pm. Please go to the parking lot behind the church. Look for the Crossroads sign on the door in the middle of the long wing and just ring the bell. Tax receipt letters are available.
Opportunities to Serve A welcoming opportunity! Serve as a warm and friendly presence as a Front Office Receptionist. We already have some wonderful and dedicated volunteers but there are days in the week that need to be filled. Or, do you like to cook? garden? Become a Greeter? We can find a perfect match for you. Memorials A great way to give thanks for our loved ones is to make an altar flower contribution in their name. The suggested contribution is $60. Contact Maryann DeAngelo to schedule a memorial.
Reserving Space for an Event In an effort to ensure that events are planned well in advance, and to eliminate scheduling conflicts, requests for room reservations must be received at least 21 days in advance of the event. Submitted forms are reviewed at the weekly staff meeting. You will be notified within 24 hours after a decision has been made. You can complete a "green" sheet HERE.
Pastoral Care Visits If you know of individuals that are housebound or in need of pastoral visits, please contact MaryAnn DeAngelo in the church office at 313.885.4841 ext. 107.
Alzheimer's Support Group All who are coping with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and dementia are welcome to attend this group at any time to find comfort and practical help. The group meets every third Thursday in the Undercroft.
