Introducing Camino Small Groups: High School Faith Formation

Every one of us is on a journey.
This year, our Christ Church high school ministry is inviting you to walk it together beginning this summer - in small, close-knit groups of 5-7 teens built around faith, friendship, and honest conversation.

Summer Meeting Times begin July 29:
Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00 pm
Thursdays, 3:30–4:30 pm

Camino is the Spanish word for journey, and that’s exactly what this is – a journey of faith, friendship, and community for our teenagers. Each group will be made up of 5 - 7 high schoolers who meet weekly for faith sharing and formation.
We are offering multiple meeting times throughout the week so that busy schedules, sports, and activities don’t stand in the way.

These groups are open to all high schoolers – no prior commitment or church experience required. Whether your teen is deeply rooted in their faith or just beginning to explore it, there is a place for them here.

And we’re dreaming of something bigger.

We are in the early, prayerful stages of considering a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, Spain in the summer of 2028. The Camino de Santiago is one of the oldest and most beloved pilgrimage routes in the Christian tradition, and we believe it could be a truly transformative experience for our young people. This is still a tentative plan, and we want to be transparent about that – but we are excited enough to start preparing now.

If the trip moves forward, we will be doing significant fundraising over the next two years, and scholarships will be available. No student should ever feel that finances are a barrier to participating. For now, the most important step is simply getting our teens signed up for a Camino Small Group. Whether or not the Spain trip ever comes to be, these groups are the foundation of our high school ministry the next couple years.

Additional dates and times available beginning in September!
