The Rev'd Andrew Van Culin
Rector
Fr. Drew was installed as the 10th Rector of Christ Church on May 14, 2013. As the Rector, Fr. Drew serves as the chief priest, pastor, teacher, and host of the Christ Church community, is the chief custodian and advocate of the vision of Christ Church, is entrusted with the administration, execution, and oversight of the programs and assets of Christ Church, and provides leadership, direction, and supervision to the Christ Church staff.
Scott Hanoian

Director of Music and Organist
Scott Hanoian joined Christ Church as the 8th Director of Music and Organist in 2007 and is responsible for continuing the tradition of musical excellence at Christ Church Grosse Pointe. As the Director of Music, Mr. Hanoian directs the church's liturgical choir, the Christ Church Schola, as well as the Christ Church Chorale, and oversees the yearly concert series. Mr. Hanoian is also an active organist, accompanist, continuo artist, conductor, choral adjudicator, and guest clinician.
The Rev'd Maureen L. Martin
Associate for Parish Life and Community Engagement
The Rev’d Maureen L. Martin joined Christ Church in February of 2022 as Associate for Parish Life and Community Engagement. Her leadership in our parish life includes those programs and initiatives that draw us together as a genuine community of welcome, affection, and care.
Tim Wood
Associate for Finance and Administration
Tim Wood joined Christ Church as the Associate for Finance and Administration in November, 2024.
Tim provides strategic leadership and management for all business and administrative affairs necessary to support the ministry of Christ Church Grosse Pointe. More specifically, Tim will oversee our financial activity and record-keeping, ensure sound stewardship of all buildings and grounds, provide leadership for our financial stewardship and development, and support our IT, HR, and general office administration.

Lisa Abad-Brown
Associate for Children, Youth and Family Ministries
Lisa Abad-Brown leads a comprehensive range of religious education initiatives for our young people. At the heart is the implementation of The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – a Montessori-based approach to faith formation for children. Lisa oversees sacramental enrichment for Eucharist and Confirmation, coordinates teen retreats, and a youth ministry program that explores how faith connects to contemporary culture, emphasizing service. With a graduate degree in Theology from Loyola and over 30 years as a pastoral minister, Lisa nurtures spiritual development for all ages. Lisa cherishes time with her husband and three daughters, who continue to inspire her ministry.
Call for 2027 Vestry Nominations
Every fall, the Rector and Vestry appoint a Nominating Committee to discern and call members of Christ Church to serve on the Vestry. This faithful work, however, is never done in isolation and is best done with your prayerful support and participation. To this end, we invite you to join us in this difficult, yet sacred, task. Considering those whom you know within our community, we ask you prayerfully to discern who may be called to serve on the Vestry. To help you in your discernment,and to help the Nominating Committee in our work together, we ask that you complete the Vestry Candidate Recommendation Form for any members of Christ Church whom you discern are called to serve on the Vestry at this time. Recommendations are invited beginning in August 2026.
