Other Ways to Give

By Stock or Marketable Securities

A gift of stock is a great way to support Christ Church – whether as your Annual Fund gift or as a gift to the Endowment or the Capital Campaign. By giving appreciated securities, you may receive double tax savings (you may be able to take a charitable deduction for the mean fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift, and you could avoid capital gains tax). We suggest that you consult your tax advisor for complete details on the tax implications of your gift. 

If you have bonds, mutual funds or closely held stock, contact us to discuss a possible gift. You can make a gift of securities in your will, or use them to create endowment funds, donor advised funds, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts.

Donor Advised Fund
A gift from your Donor-Advised Fund allows you to support our parish
with resources already set aside for charitable giving, often providing valuable tax benefits.
IRA Rollover/ Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift of up to $100,000 from your IRA to support your beloved parish or ministry.
You will not pay taxes on any distributions made to Christ Church Grosse Pointe.

The Legacy Society

Members of the Legacy Society have designated Christ Church as a beneficiary of their will or final estate plans.

Life Insurance
You can make a planned gift by designating Christ Church Grosse Pointe as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy.

Appreciated real estate such as your personal or commercial property can be donated in a portion before it is sold, or you can leave real estate in your will to Christ Church.  Your gift preserves cash, gives lifetime income, and may provide significant tax advantages.
